Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC) serves as the designated authority for managing PEPPOL Identifier (ID) within Malaysia. As the designated authority, MDEC operates and administers the SMP (Service Metadata Publisher), the platform responsible for registering and publishing PEPPOL ID in Malaysia. This document outlines the Terms of Use (TOU) governing the registration process as well as the usage of the SMP and the PEPPOL eDelivery network in Malaysia.
All applications for registering a PEPPOL ID must adhere to the procedures specified by MDEC. The Service Provider as an Access Point (AP) acting on behalf of the Participant (companies or businesses) is required to register in SMP using the designated interface provided at www.malaysiasmp.my.
A standard PEPPOL ID created under the Malaysian PEPPOL Authority follows a specific format HERE .
Participants applying for a PEPPOL ID must be commercial entities registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or local authority for Sabah and Sarawak depending on the location of their business operations. Foreign Participants must be registered with the official registration authority in their country.
MDEC maintains a publicly accessible query-based directory lookup system connected to a searchable database, containing information on all Malaysian registered PEPPOL Participants, including their PEPPOL ID and contact details. Additionally, the SMP stores and displays information on Participants' supported document types, protocols, and formats, such as MY PINT Invoice types.
This Terms of Use may be amended from time to time.
